We publish the price on the course page, explain what moves it, and name the costs that are not ours to charge.

How we price
Affordable should not mean thin. The aim is coursework worth finishing at a price that does not make people hesitate to start.
One price, on the course page
Every course carries its price on its own page, before you start anything. Pricing does not appear for the first time at a payment step.
Priced per course or package
Renewal content is normally sold as a package because that is how it is studied. Longer programs are priced as a single program, not drip-fed by module.
No fees to finish what you bought
Our intent is that the price covers the coursework, the practice material and the instructor access attached to it.
What moves the price
Why two courses cost different amounts
Pricing differs by course and by jurisdiction. That is a function of what each course contains, not of demand-based pricing.
- Course length
- Instructional hours are the single biggest driver. A full pre-licensing program can be more than ten times the length of a renewal package, and the price reflects that.
- Jurisdiction
- Each jurisdiction expects different content, so the same course type can be a different size — and a different price — from one state to the next.
- Course type
- Pre-licensing, post-licensing, continuing education and exam preparation are structured differently and are priced independently of each other.
- Single course or bundle
- Where several units are normally taken together, they are offered as one package rather than as separate purchases.
Costs we never charge
These are charged by third parties. They are never part of a course price here, and nothing on this site collects them.
- Examination fees charged by a testing provider
- Application and licensing fees charged by a jurisdiction
- Fingerprinting, background checks or other third-party administrative costs
- Membership dues for any association or professional body
What you will see
How prices will be displayed once courses open
- 01The course page shows the full price in US dollars, with the instructional hours it covers.
- 02The page states what the price includes and what it does not.
- 03Access period and refund terms are shown alongside the price, not buried in a policy link.
- 04Any jurisdiction-specific cancellation rule that overrides our standard terms is called out on the page.
- 05The price you see is the price at checkout. No fee appears for the first time at payment.
